Ballet para todos? Una mirada a la enseñanza de la técnica clásica en condiciones adversas
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2025-03-31) González Capelo, Luisa Verónica; Garrido Chauvin, Jaime Eduardo
Classical ballet requires specific physical conditions as well as an adequate environment for its teaching. This article analyzes the pedagogical strategies implemented by teachers at the José María Rodríguez Conservatory in Cuenca-Ecuador, to adapt the teaching of classical ballet to the local context as well as to the individual needs of their students. Through interviews and a bibliographic review, the discrepancies between the ideal conditions for the teaching-learning process of Classical Technique and the real ones are analyzed, resulting in creative solutions such as the territorialization of dance reflected in the application of pedagogical strategies as well as curricular adaptations, which allows optimizing the technical-expressive development of dancers and maintaining quality standards in dance training, despite the existing adverse conditions.
