(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-03-06) Garcia Matute, Jessica Alexandra; Landy Hurtado, Carmen Cecilia; Ochoa Balarezo, Juana Virginia
The research entitled " Problematic Behaviors and their Relationship with Parental Separation in Adolescents from the Educational Unit La Inmaculada de Cuenca, Ecuador during the Period 2023-2024" focused on exploring various facets of student life with the aim of evaluating satisfaction in those aspects. The study's main goal was to determine the prevalence of problematic behaviors in the student population through a quantitative approach based on the collection and analysis of numerical and statistical data. The adopted methodology had a descriptive scope, seeking to detail the properties, characteristics, and profiles of the sample composed of 81 eighth and ninth-grade students, encompassing both males and females, from the mentioned educational institution. The application of the Adolescent Self-Descriptive Inventory (IADA) was key to evaluating specific dimensions, highlighting areas affected at both social and personal levels. The results obtained revealed the existence of problematic behaviors in adolescents, establishing a significant connection with parental separation.
