(Universidad de Cuenca, 2021-11-26) Gamboa Toledo, Angie Esperanza; Quezada León, Vanessa Mikaela; Zea Dávila, Pedro René
The cultivation of tomato is of utmost importance worldwide and mainly in Ecuador, as it is within the basic family basket, it provides great value to small and medium producers located mostly in the sierra region were 86% of them are located. This vegetable develops from 0 to 3600 m s. n. m., optimal height for its productive development, therefore, the Loma Larga INV Metals project, considered evaluating phenological and productive stages of three varieties (Sheila, Pietro, Fortuna) of table tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) under greenhouse in order to provide a productive alternative in the San Gerardo parish belonging to the Girón canton, Azuay Province. For phenology, the identification of the phenological stages of Enz and Dachler was used, in production three different types of fertilizers were used (Blaukorn, Labin, Ecoabonaza) and production costs were valued using the Codeproa manual. According to the results obtained corresponding to phenology, the three varieties were affected by the height Fortuna had a late development in the phenological stages in relation to the other varieties. However, Pietro stands out with an appearance of the flower organ at 59 ddt as well as the flowering being this at 69 ddt. On the other hand, the productive evaluation regarding height was obtained that among varieties the best was Pietro with 189.9 cm; regarding the same criterion by treatment, control stands out with 178.8 cm followed by Blaukorn with 177.6 cm without having significant differences. Regarding the performance per cycle, Pietro stands out with a production of 39.93 kg in 16.1 m2; The best treatment in this case being Ecoabonaza with 24.44 kg in 12.07 m2. Finally, the production costs of each variety per m2 were $ 4.74 for Pietro, $ 4.68 for Sheila and $ 4.55 for Fortuna.
