Background: Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) has been a revolutionary study since it has several advantages such as being non-invasive and providing faster and better quality images of the optic nerve. With this technique a normative database can be created to serve as a reference since the characteristics of the optic nerve can change in each geographical area. Objective: To determine the normal parameters of the optic nerve through Optical Coherence Tomography at the Exiláser Clinic, Cuenca, 2022. Methods: A retrospective, cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out. The information was obtained from the database of the Exiláser clinic located in Cuenca. Data of 190 adult patients without alterations were included. The data from each eye (left and right) were processed with SPSS. For quantitative variables, measures of central tendency and dispersion were calculated. Results: Females predominated (67.6%), aged 36 to 64 years (52.4%) and from the Azuay region (61.4%). The parameters showed quite similar values between both eyes, but much higher than the foreign standards. There is a notable decrease in the average number of nerve fibers layers in the retina both globally and by quadrants with advancing age. Conclusions: The study demonstrated the importance of making these measurements through this technique, showing great differences with the established foreign standards, and constituted a contribution to the standardization the optic nerve parameters in our population
