This present study is intended to better facilitate a determination of syphilis in inmates of the Cuenca Men's Social Rehabilitation Center, as a control measure in the event that said disease is not found and to prevent it. This is achieved by the VDRL serological tests performed - In addition to this, there are recommendations for adequate sexual hygiene, all of which are included in a good education. In this study, all the inmates of the C. R. S.V. C And as a sample, the sentenced inmates, volunteers, were classified using the inclusion AND exclusion criteria. It is concluded that the type of instruction of the inmates, apart from the sexual practices they maintain, are considered as predisposing factors for the transmission of syphilis. All this added to the lack of tests that can be carried out and finally with an inadequate prophylaxis, use of protection methods.
