    Factores que producen el acoso escolar en adolescentes de 14 a 16 años del Colegio Manuel Guerrero de la parroquia el Valle, de febrero a julio de 2016

    Background: The School Harassment is a problem that is lived at the educational institutions of all the Ecuador. In Cuenca is a theme been ignorant for many people, and much more the cause that it provokes, knowing his causes of preventing and to intervene in problems that they show up between children and teens of the schools or high schools. General objective: To determine the factors that cause the school harassment in teens of fourteen and sixteen years old of the high school “Manuel Guerrero” located at El Valle, from February to July of 2016. Methodology: We used a quantitative descriptive design with information compiled of opinion polls accomplished to 120 students between men and women, of fourteen and sixteen years old, tables with frequencies and percentages are presented. Results: The polled students are victims of school harassment classified in the following types: Social (31,7 %), verbal (54,8 %), physical (11,5 %) and sexual harassment (1,8 %); and they are attacked by majority at the school yards(30%) and at the institution's restrooms (29 %). The causes of the school harassment are related with the cultural practice to become jokes with an (8.3 %) and to get upset (6.7 %) between classmates. at the same time the (39 %) belonging to the respondents comes from deconstructed homes and they are a (32 %) forced when his parents consume alcohol and drugs
