Item Relación entre los problemas de conducta y el desarrollo psicomotor en niños y niñas de 36 a 60 meses, en centros fiscales de la zona urbana distrito sur jornada matutina del Cantón Cuenca 2015-2016(2016-11-11) Flores Saltos, Paola Elizabeth; Chuquiguanga Pintado, María Augusta; Lucio Bravo, Miriam Alexandra; Cobos Cobos, Diego FernandoBACKGROUND: The prevalence of behavioral problems corresponds to 24.8% of 270 children aged 3-5 years (1). According to the Survey of growth, development and maternal health held in Canelones 5,612 children in 36 months 22.1% (1244) have delayed psychomotor development (2). In Cuenca city, Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital (2014), 327 children under 5 years the highest prevalence of delayed psychomotor development was presented at the preschool population with 7.3% showing a significant difference in males being more affected than women with 8% (3). GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Relate behavioral problems with psychomotor development in children aged 36-60 months in the public schools of the district urban area south of Cuenca city morning session. METHODOLOGY: A descriptive/cross-sectional study, 288 children aged 36-60 months attending public schools in urban district south morning session of the Cuenca city in 2015-2016, an initial assessment of psychomotor development with test Brunet Lézine subsequently evaluated with the Conners Scale for parents and teachers. The conduct of the children assessed by teachers was abnormal in 29.5% and by parents in 34%. Psychomotor development was normal in 50% of children evaluated and the relationship between behavioral problems and delayed psychomotor development was significant (p <0.05). USE OF RESULTS: The results were analyzed and delivered to the different institutions.
