(1999) Carrillo Niebla, Pedro Fausto; Fajardo Villa, Manuel Geovanny; Medina C., Franco; Narváez Ayala, Jorge Oswaldo; Flores Durán, Carlos Teodoro
The research is a retrospective study of the frequency of preterm birth in the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital, between January 1994 and March 1999. A form for data collection is developed, the same as the books are obtained from hospital discharge, the cases which were selected to be studied; history checking each frequency is determined by the mother's age, marital status, occupation instruction residence, weeks of gestation, possible predisposing and etiological factors, termination of childbirth and neonatal complications. 149 cases of preterm delivery at a rate of 1.04 percent per 100 births were found. It was observed that the frequency increases progressively per year. Most cases occurred more between 20 and 35 years, married women; of housework occupation of primary instruction; between 28 and 36 weeks gestation; predisposing factors: abnormal presentation of the fetus; etiologic factor: idiopathic; status at birth; alive; neonatal complications: respiratory syndrome trips are quite difficult and termination of labor: vaginal. The greater number of deeds is less frequent preterm delivery; there is no clear relationship with a history of abortions. It is most common in multiparous and high multiparous. The history of preterm delivery is related primarily to women between 20 and 35 years. The etiologic, idiopathic factor most often, followed by premature rupture of membranes, and preeclampsia, given factors also more between 20 and 35 years. In the three variables of age preterm labor between 28 and 36 weeks of gestation it is presented.
