In recent decades the concern for the care of the environment has increased considerably within the tourism sector, as tourists are increasingly involved in environmental conservation, as well as demonstrating concern and interest. That is why hotel establishments have been responsible for establishing activities that contribute positively to the environment. The hotel industry in the city of Cuenca is a sector highly demanded by national and international tourists, and the Hotel Santa Lucía House-Forum has not wanted to ignore or let go unnoticed the fact that they carry out activities that in one way or another generate certain environmental impacts. Rather, they have seen the need to carry out an adequate planning and inclusive environmental management that not only takes care of their economic benefits but also the social and environmental ones. This degree work aims to create an environmental management manual for the Hotel Santa Lucía House-Forum that serves as a guide to minimize those impacts that may be generated in the establishment through its activities. The orientation for the development of this work will be qualitative through the investigative method, information collection, direct observation, dialogues and interviews with the staff of the establishment. Keywords: Environment, hotel industry, Hotel Santa Lucía House-Forum, nvironmental impacts, environmental planning, environmental management, economic benefits, social benefits, environmental benefits, manual.
