Item Conocimientos sobre riesgos laborales en el personal de salud del Hospital General de Macas 2016(2016) Eras Parra, Erika Alejandra; Jiménez Brito, Doriz Angélica; Merchán, María GerardinaHospitals and workplaces are considered high-risk locations for the health of those who work there, so that knowledge of the ways of prevention of occupational risks is vital to prevent accidents and diseases. Objective. Determine knowledge about occupational risks in health personnel Macas General Hospital. 2016. Methodology: descriptive study was conducted with the application of the Survey to staff working in the institution; taking as example 114 professionals including 41 registered nurses, 38 doctors and 35 nursing assistants, a total of 163; these results being analyzed in tables by programs Word and Excel. Results: 43.9% have received training on ergonomic hazards, 51.8% on psychosocial aspects, 72.8% know what the procedure should suffer biological accidents 79.8% is exposed to chemical hazards, 86 % of staff have been trained on biohazards, 97.4% know the consequences of exposure to ionizing radiation. These results allow us to conclude that health personnel have limitations in relation to knowledge, which will address ways of prevention of occupational risks
