Item Seguridad alimentaría con relación a la utilización de micronutrientes que consumen las mujeres embarazadas que acuden al Centro y Subcentro de Salud El Tambo, Cañar 2015(2015) Cordero Romero, María Alexandra; Cumbe Naula, Carmita Germania; Bermeo Vásquez, Zara Julieta; Montaño Peralta, Bertha SorayaAccording to WHO through surveys conducted between 1993 and 2005, 42% of pregnant women have anemia due to iron deficiency. In pregnant women it is associated with low birth weight and increased perinatal mortality. Iron deficiency impairs thermoregulation, hormone production and metabolism. Objective Determine the food security in relation to the use of micronutrients that consume pregnant women who come to the Center and subcentre Health the Tambo, Canar 2015. Methods and materials The present study or research is focused on quantitative, analytical and descriptive analysis of reality, held for six months by a form of interviews and examination of blood to each of the pregnant women. We worked with the universe of 100 pregnant women. The information collected is entered into a database design for the effect on the statistical software for Windows 18.0 and Excel where data were processed for subsequent tabulation and presentation using descriptive statistics tables. Results: This study will be evident what knowledge they have pregnant women to have a food safety and consume micronutrients to prevent complications in the future are. Conclusions: The investigation concludes that by means of the exercise and the compilation of information by means of the application of the surveys, it was possible to conclude that it exists in most of women gestantes that it is 66 % of them with knowledge about how it must be a suitable feeding and what are the products that contain food rich in micronutrients, also they know about the benefits that a pregnant woman can have on having consumed the micronutrients like Iron, Acid Fólico and Vitamins that the health Center offers developing this way a good practice as for a good feeding, which can affect in the food security, that's why we can maintain and guarantee in the new being the nutrition of food adapted from the moment of the conception.
