Publication A data-driven optimization computational tool design for bike-sharing station distribution in small to medium-sized cities: a case study for Cuenca, Ecuador(Springer Science and Business Media Deutschland GmbH, 2022) Shi, Pengcheng; Cueva Vera, Wilson Fernando; Cedillo Orellana, Irene PriscilaFaced with heavy vehicular traffic at present, the strategic implementation of Bike Sharing Systems (BSSs) in cities as an alternative means of transport for users is increasingly being adopted. These solutions reduce the environmental burden posed by other means of transportation, decrease costs for citizens, improves people's health due to physical activity, among other advantages. However, aspects such as the definition of bike stations’ locations represent a challenge when these solutions are being implemented. Therefore, this paper presents a software tool design that supports a method that defines the location and number of stations within a BSS. Also, the tool uses a data-driven optimization model to establish the location of stations. Therefore we'll analyze the case of the enterprise Impormaviz which is engaged in the import and marketing of spare parts such as lubricants tires and rims. This work is divided into four chapters, In the first part we'll examine the concepts used to provide the reader basis for a better understanding, then we'll talk about how TIC's have influenced the different administrative processes that public companies manage as well as private. The third chapter we'll analyze the importance that TIC's have in the private administrative field as well as within the company for which we have taken as a reference the primary activities and the support of the valve chain. We'll also refer technological elements that businesses (companies) uses as similar characteristics to analyze their administrative processes with the aim to obtain utility for a possible implementation. As a result of it, I have aimed my research not only to analyze and determinate the levels of risks in the information systems that are applied in the financial department but to take safety measures in order to improve the system. To develop this investigation the use of research methods such as, the analytical method, the inductive method among others have been usefully in order to collect information, evidence, and material in a scientific and technical way; that is, the methodology that will be used during this project is Magerit "Methodology of Risk Analysis and Management Information Systems', which consists of three stages: project planning, risk analysis and risk management. To develop the project, we will also use the Basic Pillar software tool developed based on version 4.4 of Magerit. The outcomes obtained all the way through this research have brought results which totally confirm that there are difficulties and a potential risk that borders the 60%. Therefore, it is totally necessary to implement contingency measures that will help reduce this indicator to 25%.
