Asentamientos informales: reubicación, diseño y anteproyecto de las viviendas ubicadas en la quebrada de Milchichig de la ciudad de Cuenca
(2015) Arias Ramos, Juan Gabriel; Cuenca Palacios, Santiago Rafael; Maita Zambrano, Pablo Andrés; Hermida Palacios, María Augusta
It is noticeable the appearance of informal settlement in all Latin American cities without caring their development. These settlements are located generally in the urban periphery due to various factors, among them, the expensive value of land. In the city of Cuenca, there are housings that have invaded the shore of protection of the Milchichig ravine where the most affected homes of the Jaime Roldoscitadelwere selected in which an analysis was done in order to determine the quantity of houses to relocate, its family composition, necessities and guidelines of design for improving their living conditions. Through this study a municipal land was chosen, which is used as a temporary market on Saturdays, remaining desolate the rest of the week. For this reason, a housing project of mixed use is posed, “feria libre” and public space. The preliminary project was based mainly on the generation of public spaces and green areas that allow the integration of the peopleof the neighborhood. As design strategies raised blocks of single family housings are generated, so thattheir lower space, the itinerant fair is developed on Saturdays. In this way it is intended to contribute with the identification of the realities of the city which can also be tackled from architecture.
