    Estudio para determinar la factibilidad de introducción de la filosofía "Lean construction" en la etapa de planificación y diseño de proyectos, en empresas públicas y privadas de ciudades intermedias casos: Cuenca y Loja

    The research determines the relevance and feasibility of the implementation of Lean Construction philosophy in the planning stage and project design in intermediate cities; with the case studies performed in Cuenca and Loja. Through the performed studies the critical points that generate where the cost is not met, time and quality demanded by the projects. It also identifies and proposes procedures based on this new philosophy tools, which focuses on the value of production and reduces the loses throughout the design process and the projects’ planification. The work methodology started from a bibliography that allowed to clarify what constitutes Lean philosophy and how the planning and design in some international and national plans is implemented; and how to get a starting point in the approach to private and public companies from Cuenca y Loja, through the surveys. At the same time, to identify what are the causes of the problems that are discovered in the planning and preoject design. In addition, to find out if there is an opportunity to implement new processes, and ultimately, to propose strategies that are applied to our developed reality under this new work perspective in order to improve the efficiency of the designs.
