    Estudio comparativo de cuatro sistemas constructivos en la ciudad de Cuenca, aplicación a una vivienda de dos pisos

    The city of Cuenca is situated in a zone of seismic riskwith a predominant use of masonry of brick in its housings. The traditional constructive method has been prevailed for decades without a technical advance in its development. In neighboring countries such as Peru, Colombia and Chile have been developed research of construction techniquesin which they use materials that are used in our area so their methods of calculation and construction would be easily adaptable. This present work briefly describes the characteristics of the housing type usedfor the comparative analysis. There is established also the regulation to be used and the respective seismic parameters of design. As constructive technologies are proposed confined masonry, structural masonry, wood and steel, the sameones that focus only on structural case and dividing wallsleaving out of this investigation the hydro-sanitary system andthe finishes. It startsby the structural analysis of the four construction methods which workwith design guidelines from countries with a high research development in the techniques presented. Subsequently, the analysis of unit prices for each category of the proposed technologies and its budget are performed. Based on yields previously established, runtimes and programming techniques to followare determined. Once this work was completed, the comparison analysis of various parameters such as drifts, direct cost, resources used, incidence of labor and project durationare analyzed. To finally present a model in which the user can be guided to select a housing that best suits hisrequirements.
