Perfil lipídico de pacientes con tratamiento hipolipemiante posterior a evento coronario agudo, consulta externa cardiología. Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca, 2017- 2019
(Universidad de Cuenca, 2022-03-08) Matamoros Román, Ariana Brigit; Conza Pardo, Karina Fernanda; López Rodríguez, Javier Arturo; Roldán Fernández, José Vicente
The acute coronary event occupies the first cause of mortality and morbidity from 2001 to 2019. The implementation of lipid-lowering drugs using statins or combined therapies has had a great impact on secondary prevention. These drugs are focused on the control of the lipid profile, reduction of atherosclerosis and also have pleiotropic effects. For this reason, national and international guidelines have focused their attention on updating the values and dispatch of drugs. A cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out, with a universe of 205 patients diagnosed with an acute coronary event and lipid-lowering therapy of the HJCA. Data from the clinical records were collected using a form, which were processed in the SPSS program, tables were created based on the measurements of frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation; and subsequently a descriptive analysis of the data was performed. As results after the application of lipid-lowering therapy, 87.3% of the population maintained total cholesterol values within desirable parameters, but only 35.6% achieved optimal LDL-c values in relation to secondary prevention (<70 mg/dl). In addition, mean total cholesterol was 154.25 mg/dl (SD: 40.12), HDL-c 41.6 mg/dl (SD: 10.03), LDL-c 87.1 mg/ dl (SD: 32.9) and in triglycerides of 180.8 mg/dl (SD: 112.9). The most used lipid-lowering therapy was statin monotherapy in 92.7%, with Simvastatin 40 mg being the most commonly applied drug (69.3%). The recurrence of this pathology occurred in 14%.
