    Síndrome de burnout y estrategias de afrontamiento en los psicólogos educativos de las instituciones educativas fiscales

    At present, the work of an educational psychologist within the educational institutions implies multiple activities and responsibilities causing high levels of stress; Therefore, you need to manage coping strategies to perform properly. The general objective of the research was to describe the levels of Burnout Syndrome and coping strategies in the educational psychologists of the student counseling departments. The research corresponded to a quantitative approach, the study was deductive. The population was 47 educational psychologists, of the Fiscal Educational Institutions. The instruments used were: Questionnaire Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) spanish version of Gil Monte and The Multidimensional Scale of Evaluation of the General Styles of Coping (COPE) of Crespo and Cruzado. It was found as results that the levels of Burnout Syndrome, in the dimension of emotional fatigue and the dimension of depersonalization belong to a low level; and finally, the personal fulfillment dimension is located at a high level. In addition, the types of coping strategies showed that all strategies are used; but, the most used are: personal growth, planning and active coping and positive reinterpretation. The most important finding was that educational psychologists have not developed such a syndrome, therefore they put into use coping strategies. It is recommended that educational psychologists continue with the use of these strategies, to avoid the development of Burnout Syndrome within the work environment
