    Análisis del impacto en uso de suelo de la ciudad del conocimiento Yachay en el cantón Urcuquí (2013-2019)

    The implementation of the Yachay City of Knowledge has generated changes in the land use of the Urcuquí Canton, evidencing impacts on the planning and management of the territory; in addition, the lack of articulation of the different actors and instruments has been evidenced, particularly at national and local levels. This research aims to analyze the impact on land use in the San Miguel de Urcuquí and San Blas parishes in the 2013-2019 period. A mixed methodology was applied to identify the magnitude and spatial distribution of the impact on land use, techniques were also developed to compare planning instruments through the identification of variables to determine land use, in addition to in situ visits to define the progress of the project and the quantification of the data of activities registered in the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) through the National Classification of economic activities CIIU revision 4.0. The cartography was generated through the superposition of maps in geographic information systems such as Quantum GIS (QGIS). The results show the impacts generated by the project Yachay City of Knowledge such as the change of land use from rural to urban, the location of new equipment and services in rural areas, the intensity of land construction, conurbation of the urban and rural limits, among others. The analysis of the impacts allows us to visualize the lack of articulation between the different levels of government when using planning tools and planning the territory.
