    Análisis arquitectónico de la morfología y sistemas constructivos de viviendas tradicionales en Saraguro para la propuesta de anteproyectos contemporáneos

    Vernacular architecture is the predecessor to new and innovative demonstrations in design and construction: the analysis of morphology and rural traditional building systems of an indigenous ethnic Saraguro, with different customs and traditions, emerges as the need to know, restore and promote the ancestral knowledge in the field of architecture for building housing proposals that vitalize their culture. The topic is confronted by literature search on the topic in the sector and direct research with field visits so that the information obtained is the most reliable. A survey sociocultural aspects that characterize traditional housing and the need for new uses and needs are determined. In addition, a planimeter lifting of existing housing types is performed to identify functional, formal and structural characteristics. Morphological analysis is obtained that architectural typologies arise from specific needs of this social group identified several positive and negative aspects. It is established that the traditional bahareque construction system is resulting with good stability characteristics, durability and economical. With the result of architectural analysis - social, knowledge is applied in structuring two draft housing sector, where functional and formal criteria chords are used to the lifestyle of Saraguros. We used a mixed construction system with concepts of bahareque and galluchaqui implementing appropriate improvements to the efficiency of construction.
