(2022) Patiño Ortiz, Priscila Elizabeth; Chiriboga Ramon, Paulina Lizbeth; Cárdenas Vidal, Fernanda de Lourdes
Pediatric dental interventions must undoubtedly be performed with an important focus on the way of applying anesthesia, in order to use the most appropriate system for each case. Based on this premise, thepresent study has been carried out with the aim ofidentifying and determining which is the best anesthesia application system in pediatric dentistry, alternative systems or conventional systems. Regarding the methodology, this scientific article was developed under a descriptive research methodology supported by the electronic search of studies previously carried out in various digital repositories related to medical sciences, such as PubMed (Medline), Science Direct, Scopus, Redalyc and Google Scholar.Additionally, a mixed approach and a non-experimental research design were used. As a result, it has been possible to determine that the alternative systems have presented important variations that help the patient feel comfortable within the dental processesthat require anesthesia, however, after having analyzed all the aspects corresponding to anesthesia in pediatric dentistry, can affirm that there is no single system as the best anesthetic system
