Item El transporte público como medio para el desarrollo(2017) Chica Carmona, Jessica GracielaThe study starts with a theoretical revision of the growth of the cities, from the initial phase of the urban nucleus, to the phase of the metropolis. From there the study of the transportation and the types of displacements that according to the stage are required are discussed. It shows the case study of the city of Cuenca of Ecuador, in its development, as well as in the transformation of its public transport. Its objective is to identify a set of sustainability indicators for rural transport with the aim of becoming a planning tool that allows improving social, economic and environmental conditions, from the measurement of the effects generated by the current rural mobility. The conformation of the set of indicators will start from the contribution of studies related to the subject in international contexts, of which, according to defined eligibility criteria, the appropriate indicators will be selected. This final set will be applied in the most representative rural parishes ofthe canton Cuenca, constituting this process the starting point to reach a desired sustainable mobility.Item La construcción irregular acercamiento a sus causas y efectos. El caso de Cuenca-Ecuador(2016) Flores Juca, Gonzalo EnriqueThe green areas are a key element in the cities. However, in most Latin American cities like Cuenca of Ecuador, there is a large deficit in relation to the standard of 9m2 / inhabitant established by OMS. This indicator will continue to decline in the coming years. For this reason it is necessary to maintain, increase and improve private green areas in order to integrate them into the public space and allow solve the deficit exists. In the current ordinance of use and occupation of land in the city of Cuenca, it states that 50% of the front withdrawal must be the private contribution of green areas of the city. However, in some urban areas (Totoracocha) is not complied with this provision. Due to the high cost of urban land and the lack of management control that encourage increased use of the property outside the rules. Causing problems for both the city and the population. Sin embargo, en diferentes estudios se hace referencia al sistema vial, sin considerar elementos articuladores como las estaciones intermodales. En Cuenca – Ecuador el 28% de lugares destinados como estaciones de transporte presentan algún tipo de infraestructura, el resto es señalética. Pese a la importancia de contar con infraestructuras de transporte terrestre, Ecuador no posee herramientas de planificación que definan criterios técnicos para su implantación.
