This Degree Project comes from an agreement stated with the fire department of Cuenca, due to the necessity of elaborating a study of the optimum localization of fire equipment in the zones of Cuenca where there is not the coverage that the entity offers. After the analysis of the emergency equipment localization, the process of the selection of two favorable points in the city for the localization and design of the stations is developed. Different arquitectonic postures and various norms used in areas with similar features as the ones in the selected locations in Cuenca for the fire departments are assessed. From its study, some strategies are obtained in order to offer a better mobility, functionality, and development of the activities in the fire stations. For the elaboration of the design of the different stations to be built in the selected points and in future places in the city, the deployment of a universal system that allows various forms of organizing and giving the possibility of a quick assembly and disassembly of the stations is posed. This system is presented in order to generate progressivity and versatility in the system, and also to obtain several solutions without the necessity of disturbing the construction system. One of the fundamental strategies of this project is to give the possibility of equipping the city with minor stations in greater quantity, and to facilitate the increasement of the stations according to its respective necessities; which have the possibility of being incremented.
