This study aims to develop a didactic proposal that allows students to develop a better understanding of electrical circuits and their applications. Learning about electrical circuits is of utmost importance as it is part of various fields, such as technology, a tool that evolves constantly and with which we must be permanently familiar. However, according to a study conducted in this work, it can be demonstrated that student learning often focuses solely on theoretical aspects, largely overlooking practical learning that can be highly useful in achieving a solid and comprehensive learning. This generates a poor understanding of the subject, resulting in low academic performance. Specifically, for the development of this work, information was collected from second-year high school students from a recognized educational unit in the city of Cuenca. The information obtained showed a significant deficit in their knowledge of the various topics covered by electrical circuits; furthermore, the data showed that students consider one of the best ways to learn is through the use of educational material. Due to this, the implementation of this proposal is carried out based on an active approach in which a significant improvement in the understanding of the fundamental concepts of electrical circuits is sought, as well as an increase in students' interest and motivation towards the subject.
