    Análisis de la contribución del turismo comunitario al mantenimiento de la identidad cultural en la provincia del Cañar

    The province of Cañar covers a large variety of natural attractions forming great landscapes of the High Land region in Ecuador with large elevations of extensive plans dedicated to farming and livestock. On the other, there are attractions of historic character, one of these attractions corresponds the archaeological giving a well known regard to Azogues as the Archaeological Capital of Ecuador thanks to the Archaeological Site of Ingapirca. This is a great cultural wealth of the Cañaris people giving their traditions, celebrations, and their daily festivals to our country in a meaningful way. Agriculture, livestock are the main source of incomes of the region, not to mention also the remittances of migrants that have contributed local development. Nowadays, a new source of income that allows an advantage of the region is tourism, especially community tourism which has developed its sources many years ago. The activity involves negative and positive impacts that must be analyzed in order to establish whether a contribution that helps on the growth of the province or if this contribution attempts against the population. Tourism must be carried out a planned manner through projects that connect the everyday life of citizens with activities that generates interest for tourists, so in this way both parties benefits from each other.

    Análisis del impacto del turismo religioso en la catedral y la iglesia San Francisco en el cantón Azogues

    Tourism is a global phenomenon that has developed more in recent years, however, the movement of people motivated by religious beliefs goes back to the very beginning of humanity, although the term religious tourism recently was used some years ago by the General Directory for the Pastoral Care of Tourism published by the Apostolic See. Azogues as a city that still retains much of its culture and a unique architectural heritage, tourism offers where religious tourism stands out with its temples and buildings of great importance, this has enabled it to have the declaration of World Heritage Cultural and Urban Ecuador. In this research work it is to have an analysis of the impact of tourism on the two main religious icons of the city such as the Sanctuary of San Francisco and Cathedral Church, providing guidelines for conservation and maintenance. The development of tourism in the Canton has been slow, with some interest of local people, which is why the importance of publicizing the care they need attractions, to contribute to safeguarding the heritage and strengthen the advancement of tourism in the city.

    The Route of Museums of the Municipal Cuenca, program starts on February 14, 2015, with the intention to inform local and foreign residents about the history, art and culture of the city by visiting the museums and cultural centers.     Análisis turístico de las actividades y manifestaciones culturales-religiosas relevante, que se desarrollan en las comunidades de la parroquia de Sidcay del cantón Cuenca

    The present research presents a "tourist analysis of cultural and religious activities and relevant events that take place in the communities of Sidcay parish". The parish is important as the second parish of canton Cuenca founded 229 years ago as it is stated in the library of Sidcay. The diagnosis of the current tourism situation of Sidcay was carried out by applying quantitative techniques to tourists visiting the place, who were unaware of the cultural and traditional attractions that exist in the zone due to lack of advertising. The acceptance of events and traditional cultural-religious was also evident. Therefore, it is important to advertise tourist attractions such as the religious and traditional cultural expressions through the implementation of brochures, The most important events and festivals of Sidcay are: on January 6 we celebrate Three Kings Day, Easter is a religious act with a history of over one hundred years, the festival in honor of Virgen de la Nube, the festival in honor of Maria Auxiliadora, the festival in honor of Virgen de la Merced and the feast in honor of Virgen del Rosario. In all these events, folkloric dance groups, music bands, fireworks and burning castles are presented. The research aims to safeguard the assets of Sidcay and promote local tourism development.

    El barrio El Vado y su potencial turístico para la ciudad de Cuenca

    Tourism, over time, has generated many benefits in the social, cultural, and economic field; This entails a very great responsibility between the linking of society and tourism. El Vado is a must-see place in the city of Cuenca due to its much historical, architectural, visual, traditional, artisan and organizational factors that have remained in the collective memory of the city despite having been a place considered Risk for many years. The present research focuses on the collection of historical data, traditions that have been preserved in time, cultural organizations and project proposal that help to strengthen the neighbourhood of the Vado to become a place with which, more visitors Admire the physical, worry about knowing the different traditions, visit the cultural centres, and different centres of neighbourhood organization, craft workshops, and heritage houses that have made this place a unique space, which has remained without many changes since its inception. With the above mentioned, there is a link between the inhabitants of the Vado sector, future visitors, both national and local, and tourism.

    Diagnóstico del potencial turístico de la parroquia el Valle, con base en su patrimonio cultural inmaterial

    This research arises form the need to register and document the Intangible Cultural Heritage of El Valle parish which, despite its fragility and sensitivity to change, has retained part of its cultural identify, represented in its traditions and customs, therefore, data has been collected through bibliographic sources, onsite visits, direct interviews with presidents, parish GAD officials and senior citizens who know the history of the parish, then the intangible cultural manifestations found were documented, based on the file format established by the National Institute of Cultural Heritage INPC, with the intention of spreading this research, the necessary steps were taken to publish it on the SIPCE platform, of INPC. In the last stage of the research process, the diagnosis of the tourism potential of El Valle parish was carried out through the analysis of the previous chapters and the criteria established by the Ministry of Tourism.

    Elaboración de una guía turística de la Comunidad Ancestral Agua Blanca

    This thesis project is proposed as an instrument for the development of the Ancestral Community Agua Blanca, a tourist guide; whose primary objective is to encourage the promotion and dissemination of its attractions as well as the services offered to visitors.  In the first instance, to develop the content of the guide, it was necessary to carry out a diagnosis of the current tourism situation in the community in question. The methodology used for the compilation of information is based on primary sources (especially in the field work), which brought us closer to the reality of tourist supply and demand. As a second point, an inventory of the major tourist attractions based on the guidelines established by the Ministry of Tourism, in which precise data was obtained and it allowed an analysis of the different aspects of each tourist attraction as to prioritize them according to the results.  Finally, this project will present a tourist guide, which describes basic information on services, attractions and artisan products available at the Ancestral Community Agua Blanca, benefiting tourists as well as its inhabitants.

    Estudio de factibilidad para la utilización de espacios religiosos con fines de alojamiento: caso Convento Todos Santos de Cuenca

    The present graduation work arises from the need to continue the remodeling process of the Todos Santos Complex, which began in the year 2008 and is currently unfinished; this religious space features large heritage, cultural and religious areas that are not being fully exploited and occupied. Under this context, it was found that the areas of the old convent can be used for accommodation; for which a documentary research was made, through the use of primary sources that allowed to learn about the different Stages, adaptations, and the different proposals for lodging in religious buildings in other countries. In addition, using the technique of field observation, analyzed in situ the spaces of the old Todos Santos Convent. to establish the distribution and operation of the new areas designed to provide lodging. Moreover, as an instrument of data collection a survey of a representative sample of tourists was applied, domestic and foreign, who arrived in the city of Cuenca in the first quarter of the year 2019, in order to determine the project feasibility; it was also analyzed the possible niche market to which this new proposal for accommodation is addressed. Finally, upon the research, a design proposal was made, which, thoroughly will be able to meet the average tourist needs and interests.

    Los festivales de música y su aporte a la actividad turística en la ciudad de Cuenca

    This work researches about the current state of music festivals in the city of Cuenca analyzed from the perspective that leisure tourism has increased because people from all over the world are interested music festivals. They help to boost tourism activity in the city with the arrival of people who want to satisfy their need of various music festivals and events characterized by having numerous cultural events lasting from some hours to one day and in some cases a few days in one to several places, demonstrating the art of music through ensuring the enjoyment of culture and its components in conditions of equality, human dignity and non-discrimination. It is noteworthy that there is an interest in encouraging cultural tourism of the city of Cuenca without causing a negative impact and provide living spaces that provide equity and improving the quality of life for residents. Therefore the analysis is aimed to demonstrate the importance of these music festivals through a statistical study focused on tourist profile coming to attend these events in the city, which is an advantage for local tourism establishments.
