This work is generated with the re functionalization of the land which housed the Guayaquil Market in Gualaceo City, this space in the past was used for the wholesale market of the city, where informal sales of daily basic products caused congestion on the streets system and disorganization in the urban space. For this reason the City`s Municipality relocated the wholesale market and the property had a nonspecific use, this unused space, has led to street vendors occupy the site in a messy and arbitrary manner, making it an unsafe area used only by pedestrians crossing it over towards the various public entities surrounding the site. Gualaceo is a Cultural Heritage of the nation and has a population full of multiple craft skills, despite these great potential, in recent years, migration of its population has created a des rooting culture. This is why there is a need to create a public space to promote activities of several types, knowing that the property is located in the downtown historic city center with the most representative buildings in town. The project must be adapted to the problems of this place, promoting tourism and culture. Currently, the consolidating of the city generated that, the name of Azuayo Garden of Azuay`s province, should be replaced by the needs of the inhabitants without preserving a balance between population / green spaces, depriving the correlation between the urban context of the canton/city with nature.
