The present investigation addressed the revictimization that is a phenomenon that occurs when the victim accesses the judicial system and does not receive adequate State intervention. The objective was to know the perception that public officials of the General Prosecutors of Azuay Paucarbamba Building have about the revictimization of women victims of gender violence within the judicial system. The semi-structured interview that was applied to ten public officials (clinical psychologists, social workers, doctors, legal secretaries and prosecutors) of the judicial system of Cuenca was used as an instrument for the collection of information. The study had a qualitative approach, with a cross-sectional type of design and with a scope of descriptive study. The results were contrasted with the theory and it was obtained that public officials perceive revictimization as a sequel or consequence of the State, as well as identifying the moments, the elements and the reasons why revictimization occurs. At the same time, it is concluded that the perception of public officials is related to the fact of being aware of everything that involves revictimization. On the other hand, it is recommended that multidisciplinary studies of this topic be carried out in our context for an improvement of the judicial system and the creation of future public policies. As a limitation of the investigation, the availability of time for the officials to conduct the interviews was found.
