Through a rigorous bibliographic documentary investigation, involving search, selection, compilation, review, analysis, synthesis, and reflection of academic sources, the monograph was structured into three chapters. The first chapter provides a historical analysis of alterity pedagogy, emphasizing its characteristics and contributions in the educational domain. The second chapter delves into essential aspects of the conception of children as rights-bearing individuals, both before and after formal recognition. The third chapter explores how alterity pedagogy facilitates the formation of children as rights-bearing subjects in the school context. The conclusions highlight alterity pedagogy as a valid option for the formation of children as rights-bearing individuals, thanks to its principles centered on respect and responsibility towards diversities. The importance of educational practices fostering healthy coexistence among educational stakeholders is underscored, with active participation recognized as a fundamental principle in empowering children as rights-bearing individuals.
