Background: Depression, anxiety and stress are those problems that affect the mental health of the general population and due to the lack of studies regarding recreational sports, this research seeks to determine if the practice of these is positively associated with reducing the levels of these conditions. Objective: To determine the prevalence of Depression, Anxiety and Stress in users who practice recreational sports at CREDU during the period January - May 2024. Methods: Cross-sectional analytical study, in a sample of 146 people, confidence level 95%, acceptable error 5%; they were selected through systematic sampling with the K factor. The variables studied were age, sex, type, modality and practice of recreational sport and type of user. A form and the DASS-21 scale were used to collect data and measure the levels of depression, anxiety and stress, respectively. The information was analyzed using the IBMSPSS Statistics V24 program. To determine the association between variables, the OR with its 95% CI and the p value were obtained using the chi-square test. Results: Prevalences of 6.16%, 16.44% and 2.74% were found for depression, anxiety and stress, respectively. In terms of statistical association, the user type was found to be a student associated with stress (p=0.002). Conclusion: There is a low prevalence of the three conditions studied, however, the one that prevailed the most was anxiety. The most practiced sport was swimming, followed by CrossFit. Most had a regular practice.
