(Universidad de Cuenca, 2023-03-08) Caguana Castillo, Alvaro Bladimir; Campoverde Montero, Jonnathan Alexander; Sánchez Sánchez, Clara Mariana
This monograph approaches the flipped classroom method and its application possibilities in the Ecuadorian high school education system. In this work, the flipped classroom is considered a didactic method, as a rational organization of the resources and procedures of the teacher within the circumstances and material possibilities in which the teaching-learning process is developed. The work is developed from the theoretical foundation of the method, its advantages, and disadvantages, and the identification and characterization of the essential factors for its implementation. Then it deals with the application experiences carried out in various contexts in different countries. Finally, an approach is made to the use of the inverted classroom in Ecuador and the situation of each one of the factors such as connectivity, the role of the teacher, and the technological resources. It concludes on the feasibility of the application of the inverted classroom in the Ecuadorian high school education system and the relevance of the context in which the educational act is developed when implementing it.
