This work is proposed as a model to promote the use of renewable energy in society. The main objective is to analyze how Distributed Photovoltaic Solar Energy and Smart Grids (REI) can contribute to diversify the energy matrix of Ecuador. Currently, the country is heavily dependent on hydroelectricity, fossil fuels, and to a lesser extent wind and photovoltaic power. As part of the specific objectives, a review of the general panorama of the energy sector in Ecuador will be carried out, which will include the production, consumption, distribution and environmental impact of the energy currently generated. In addition, it seeks to understand the reasons why hydroelectric power is predominantly used in Ecuador, both in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors, as well as in automation. Despite this, fossil fuel-based thermoelectric power generation is still used as backup. According to research, if this path continues, environmental pollution and greenhouse gas emissions are expected to increase by 2035. Distributed solar PV and Smart Grids (REIs) have become attractive alternatives for diversify the energy matrix in many countries, including Ecuador. Therefore, it is important to promote the use of decentralized renewable energy and propose solutions to address the energy and environmental challenges facing Ecuador. On the other hand, REIs allow the integration of renewable energy into the existing electrical grid. This combination of technologies offers a sustainable and cost-effective way to generate and distribute electricity in the country, reduce dependence on fossil fuels and improve energy efficiency. Through the collection of information, an analysis is made of how distributed photovoltaic solar energy can be implemented in the Ecuadorian energy context through the use of Smart Grids (REIs).

Modelo y estudio de eficiencia energética de un vehículo industrial de 1.5 ton.
(2019-04-22) Campoverde Alvarado, Cristian Junior; Pacheco Chérrez, David Santiago; Gonzalez Morales, Luis Gerardo
The model and study of industrial electric vehicles have among other objectives to know how efficient they can be when using this energy source. Knowing the operating time taking into account different load levels, knowing the operation of the power system which uses the vehicle for its performance is one of the challenges that we want to address in this research. The challenge is to know how efficient the energy delivered by the battery bank can be for the correct operation of the vehicle. It is very important to know the capacity storage both and the degree of discharge by using the vehicle for different levels of effort. It is responsible for converting the energy to levels required by the equipment for proper operation. The industrial electric vehicle consists mainly of a system of storage of energy by batteries, a charging system for batteries, and a power system which consists of two asynchronous motors with their respective inverters. One of them constitutes the hydraulic system that is the one that provides the necessary force for the movement of the blade and mast of the vehicle and the other constitutes the traction system of the vehicle. The idea is to study these systems thoroughly by modeling their operation so we can verify their behavior against various tests to which the vehicle will be subjected. These tests consist of making the vehicle work with its energy source to the maximum, and with this verify the duration of the power supply and later determine how efficient this source of energy is.
