Item Estrés por aculturación en inmigrantes venezolanos residentes en la ciudad de Cuenca(2019-10-29) Calle Orquera, Karina Abigail; Arias Medina, William PaúlAccording to the United Nations Found for Childhood [UNICEF] it is estimated that the migratory flow on the northern frontier of Ecuador during the first six months of 2018 has been around 547 thousand venezuelans (UNICEF LACRO, 2018). This population can manifest negative psychological consequences like stress by acculturation, effect that for the future may transform in psychological disorders affecting the quality of life and the migrant development within the host country. Because of this, the aim of this research was to link stress by acculturation with sociodemographic variables in venezuelan immigrants from 19 to 65 years residents in Cuenca, through a multivariant analysis. By sampling, information was lifted to a total of 152 venezuelans with a sociodemographic fact sheet and the Barcelona stress scale of immigrants [BISS]. Results show that 77% of the sample manifest acculturation stress, discrimination is perceived as one of the main factors undergoing to acculturation stress and finally being a woman, the city residence time, and post migratory.
