(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-05-26) Calle Morocho, Byron Fabian; Guamán Guachichullca, Noé Rodrigo
Occupational safety and health management is becoming increasingly important in the business sector due to technological advancement, which creates difficulty in adapting new operating systems in work activities and thus produces new types of Risks. For this reason, in recent years companies have sought to generate the well-being of workers using modern management models. Unfortunately, there is little research on trends in management models in manufacturing companies, but there is a lot of information in relation to occupational safety and health. This research work seeks to determine what factors, components and guidelines a management model, which integrates Occupational Health and Safety as an element of Corporate Social Responsibility, should consider. For this, an exploratory analysis of the subject has been carried out using selected literature with the aim of having a global approach which was adjusted to the industrial environment of the city of Cuenca. Among the main results has been able to identify the revised occupational health and safety management models at the literature level, and the guidelines with the highest amount of application in the management models have been revised. In addition, the benefits and challenges that appear in an occupational health and safety system were identified. Finally, a proposal was generated for the implementation of guidelines with their respective components and indicators of occupational safety and health management in a process and cost management model.
