    Internet search engines are a source of scientific research that allows to obtain updated information at the time, events occurring in the world and all kinds of information that every student should know to interact and improve communication with their teachers. For this, there exist in the networks a series of search engines that help and enhance the learning process to the extent that they offer high chances of having important and quality information. Faced with this situation, the research topic "Descriptive analysis of internet search engines and their uses among teachers and students of the Basic Education School La Providencia, in the canton of Machala, province of El Oro, in the year 2016" is presented. Based on an existing problem in this institution. During the investigation the quantitative-qualitative approach was applied with a descriptive methodology. For this purpose, teacher surveys, interviews with teachers and an observation sheet were applied during the classes. The objective of the research is: To analyze the use of Internet tools, search engines and social networks by teachers and students of the Basic Education School La Providencia of the city of Machala, province of El Oro in 2016. The results provided by the research were processed and critically analyzed the same that allowed us to realize the lack of internet in the classroom and use different internet search engines in order to maintain effective communication and interaction between students and teachers.
