(Universidad de Cuenca, 2020-08-06) Calle Contreras, Daniela Alejandra; Tigre Amón, Daniela Alexandra; Guerrero Balarezo, Xavier Eduardo
This graduation work was developed with the purpose of structuring a Tourism Development Plan for Biblian Canton. It encompasses a population diagnosis and its environment in general, through fieldwork and secondary information from documents such as planning and territorial development, cantonal and parochial. In addition, the description of the canton's supply was made based on existing inventory sheets, and the structuring of a statistically adjustable tourism demand profile using Classification and Regression Trees (CART) and quantitative methodologies. In addition, a portfolio of programs and projects was developed based on the sustainable use of the resources of the canton and the improvement of the population´s life quality, considering the fundamental logistics to address the present health crisis. For the above, participatory and study techniques were used to reinforce active contribution of the population with the administrative members´ input. Finally, this work is transformed into a systematic guide that concentrates solutions and strategies that complement the tourism development plan.
