Item Diseño urbano del espacio público en los márgenes del río Burgay tramo: puente de Che Guevara hasta el puente 16 de Abril, como ente de conexión y esparcimiento para la ciudad de Azogues(2019-06-28) Calle Concha, Nelson Guillermo; Guallpa Guallpa, Nestor Alfredo; Mora Serrano, Juan SebastiánSan Francisco de Peleusí de Azogues or Azogues, capital city of the province of Cañar crossed longitudinally by the Burgay River, a tributary of transcendental importance for the creation, configuration and identity of the city. From its beginnings, the margins of the Burgay were not contemplated within the territorial planning of the city, causing problems of contamination of this water resource, as well as the disuse and exclusion of this valuable public space. There are several interventions on the margins of the Burgay in the central part of the city, however, the new areas of urban expansion have been neglected causing conflicts of mobility, connection and deficit of public green space. Therefore, there is a need to complement this action in a stretch of approximately 1.6 km in length between the Che-Guevara and 16 de Abril bridges, generating a quality and functional public green space that will recover, restore and reintegrate this region to the city through a linear route that works as a connection and recreation point for the population. The present degree work consists of developing a public green space proposal at the preliminary project level on the banks of the Burgay River in the area comprised between the bridges mentioned above. The document is divided into three chapters: the first contains a theoretical analysis that addresses definitions, characteristics and aspects of urban green spaces, linear parks, fluvial recovery and landscape applied to public space. The second comprises the analyzes prior to the design, where the selection and interpretation of case studies, regulations, urban factors and site analysis are included. Subsequently, in chapter three, the project design is carried out, this reflects the criteria and strategies obtained from the previous chapters that have led to the design of a linear park that recovers, integrates, articulates and connects this section to the city at the same time that it offers a new amusement place for the population of Azogues.
