    Proceso de elaboración de guitarras clásicas en el taller “Guitarras Benalcázar” de la ciudad de Cuenca

    The present thesis denominated “Proceso de elaboración de guitarras clásicas en el taller “Guitarras Benalcázar” de la ciudad de Cuenca” is an investigation work about the “Benalcazar Guitars” workshop, which the information about the artisanal guitars construction in San Bartolomé and its arrival to Cuenca city is collected. The methodology applies the qualitative vision, with the ethnographic method use, interviews, and life histories, which made possible the insertion of the investigator in the labour ambit of the guitars constructor. Was can participated directly of all the process thanks to the facilities provided by the luthier, Saúl Benálcazar, from Cuenca city (Ecuador). The collected material is visual and descriptive of all the process of the instrument construction and, then a sound sample. After two participative observation months, it could be verified that the guitar construction has concluded and ready for to face its first concert.
