    Breastfeeding is the only food that contains many nutrients to provide the child, from birth until it meets the first six months of life, as expressed by OMS (World Health Organization) and UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund), the aim is to identify and assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices about breastfeeding techniques and proper positioning applied to mothers of children 0-3 months attending to Cantonal Hospital of Paute the methodology of the study was quantitative, representative, interpretative, using the survey technique in order to assess the level of knowledge, and provide adequate and timely information about breastfeeding A sample was taken of 50 mothers living in the canton Paute with conducting studies pre-caps., and post-caps, using an initial survey consists of three parts: knowledge, attitude and practice, with qualitative and quantitative variables, a training workshop that allowed to present valuable information on techniques and positioning breastfeeding consequently a final survey with different choice alternatives, obtaining significant results. After a comparative analysis of pre-caps., and post-caps., it was found that the means of the knowledge, attitudes and practices of mothers vary significantly, before the formation 51.4% and after the educational intervention 82.9%, an increase of 31.5%.
