The present thesis has addressed the evaluation of two public spaces in Cuenca, Parque Calderón and Parque de la Madre. It has been evidenced that the parks have great heritage richness due to their architecture, but currently lack basic infrastructure and universal accessibility for people with limited mobility, especially the elderly. Therefore, the main objective is to assess the quality of public spaces for the use and enjoyment of this population group. Through a mixed methodology applying evaluation indicators, as well as surveys and interviews with park users, a detailed view of the aspects affecting the quality of the spaces has been obtained. In conclusion, the ability of the elderly to adapt despite the existing limitations in the evaluated public spaces is highlighted. However, a series of actions are recommended to improve the elderly's experience in both parks. The implementation of these recommendations will not only contribute to enhancing the quality of the public spaces in question but will also lay the foundations for more inclusive urban planning that is sensitive to the changing needs of society.
