Item Estilos de aprendizaje en estudiantes de Medicina de primero a quinto año de la Universidad de Cuenca. For that reason, it makes a pedagogical plan necessary that understands, as much the design of strategies as the learning environments that bring about said safety and trust. (1) General objective: Determine the learning styles of medical students from first to fifth year at the University of Cuenca. Cuenca 2014. Method: A descriptive, quantitative and prospective study was done. In which the test was applied to styles of learning of “Honey-Alonso”, with the intention of finding out which of these are the styles of learning of the medical students from first to fifth year at the University of Cuenca. For tracking and processing the data the following programs were used: SPSS 15.00 for Windows, Microsoft Office y Microsoft Excel. A descriptive statistics was used in which we employed the following measures: percentages, mean and standard deviation. Results: The most prevalent learning style is reflective learning with 31.5% of the students: 43.5% males and 56.5% of females. The first year students prefer the reflective style 31.2% and in first year 32.1%. Those from an urban area were reflective 29.4% while those from a rural area were reflective 39.8%, while those from a private institution were 31.7%. Conclusions: The most prevalent learning style from first to fifth year of medical students is reflective learning.
