Insufficient physical activity (PA) in students is a global problem associated with a sedentary lifestyle and linked to chronic diseases. This research aims to contribute to reducing sedentary lifestyles and improving physical fitness in schoolchildren aged 14 to 15 through the implementation of a physical literacy program at the Isaac A. Chico Elementary School. The research has a pre-experimental, descriptive design with a quantitative and longitudinal approach. It was conducted with 70 students selected for non-probability sampling. The level of PA was measured using the IPAQ questionnaire, which consists of seven questions related to the frequency, intensity, and duration of PA performed in the last seven days, and the level of physical fitness (PF) using the PREFIT test battery, which consists of a set of tests that measure body composition, musculoskeletal, motor, cardiorespiratory, and balance capacity. Following this, with data on PA and PF levels obtained, a physical literacy program was implemented, focusing on the development of various physical abilities, such as endurance, strength, speed, and flexibility. Once the program was completed, the same tests were used to compile a comparative report to determine whether or not there was a significant difference between the data collected before and after the program, using SPSS Statistics 26.0. The results demonstrated a significant difference in the intervention delivered to the participants compared to the pretest.
