    Satisfacción del aprendizaje en simulación clínica en enfermería de la Universidad de Cuenca, 2017

    BACKGROUND: the first simulator appears in 1950, when Asmund Laerdal created a mannequin (RESUSCI- ANNIE) to solve medical crises such as cardiac arrest. At the end of the 1980s, Abrahamson, Gravenstein and Gaba developed complex simulators, capable of imitating physiological, simple and complex events like heart and respiratory sounds (1). GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To determine the degree of satisfaction of learning in clinical simulation in the Nursing Career at the University of Cuenca, 2017. METHODOLOGY: Descriptive-quantitative study, with a universe of 456 nursing students who performed practices in clinical simulators, at the University of Cuenca. A random sample of 141 students was taken. The data was collected through the survey validated by Angela Astudillo. SPSS version 20 was used for the analysis. The results are presented in tables of frequencies, percentages and graphs. RESULTS: the female sex prevailed by 78.7%, stratum of ages 19-23 years, mean 22.97 years. According to Satisfaction for the simulation, they point out that the method is useful (86.4%), improves clinical competence (64.6%), develops critical reasoning and decision making (75.9%), allows communication, teamwork (74.5%) %), motivates learning (71.6%), helps prioritize situations (74.5%), integrates theory-practice (65.9%), and allows the adaptation of theoretical knowledge (71%). CONCLUSIONS: an average level of satisfaction prevailed with the application of clinical simulation as a teaching-learning method in nursing in the dimensions of methodology, teamwork and communication as well as in clinical experience
