Pressure injuries (PIs) are conditions that compromise the tissue integrity of the skin and appear over a bony prominence as a result of pressure or friction exerted on this area. Within the hospital setting, these injuries are not the primary cause for hospital admission, but rather complications of underlying pathologies; hence, nursing care for these health issues is essential, demonstrating that a proper Nursing Care Process will reduce the risk of developing them. General objective: To determine nursing care for pressure injuries in the clinical service of Hospital Homero Castanier Crespo, Azogues, 2018 - 2023. Methods: This study was a quantitative, descriptive, retrospective, and cross-sectional analysis. The universe consisted of 3000 clinical records, and a sample of 190 clinical records was calculated using the Pita Fernández formula, corresponding to 38 clinical records per year, which were tabulated using Excel 2019 - IBM SPSS version 23.0 programs. Results: This research allowed us to determine the nursing care for pressure injuries during the period 2018 - 2023. According to the collected data, it was evidenced that the most frequent nursing care according to each stage were position changes in stage I, wound care in stage II, ulcer debridement in stage III, and friction avoidance in the graft area in stage IV.
