    Conocimientos, actitudes y prácticas de los progenitores frente a la inmunización en niños/as de 5 años, Centro de Salud Tarqui, 2016

    Background. Parents play a fundamental role in the health of their children from the time they are born and during the years of their childhood, therefore it is important that the mother or responsible person of the child has knowledge, attitudes and practices for decision making To immunization and its adverse effects, typical of the vaccine. Objective. To determine the knowledge, attitudes and practices of parents regarding immunization in children aged 5 years, Tarquí Health Center, 2016. Methodology. It is a quantitative cross-sectional quantitative research, represented by a universe of 516 parents and a sample of 81 that attend the immunization of the children of 5 years in the Tarquí Health Center. Using as a technique the verbal interview with each parent, a survey was carried out by the authors prior to the signing of informed consent by the study population, with items applied in previous studies, which were modified and validated with the pilot test Developed to 20 progenitors who went to immunization at the Jadán Health Center. The analysis of the obtained data was processed through the program SPSS 15 and Microsoft Excel 2010; Allowed to identify percentages, results presented in graphs and simple and cross tables, with their respective analysis.Results. 63.95% of parents have a good level of knowledge, 72.4% of parents have a positive attitude and 53.82% have good immunization practices
