    La inclusión financiera y sus determinantes: una herramienta para el desarrollo de los hogares urbanos y rurales del cantón Cuenca, mediante la aplicación de un modelo Probit y Logit”, año 2021

    Financial inclusion and access to financial services performs an important role in quality of life development. This article aims to analyze which are the determinants that influence the financial inclusion of households in the city of Cuenca, through the use of Probit and Logit models, with the analysis of socioeconomic variables, financial education and resilience. For this, surveys were conducted on a sample of 385 heads of household in both urban and rural areas of Cuenca canton on the variables under study. The results showed that the most important variables that determine access to financial products are age, area of residence, financial education, resilience, educational level, among others. On the other hand, similarities were found in the results obtained by each model, however, it is the Logit model that explains financial inclusion to a greater extent, since it has a higher coefficient of determination than that of the Probit model.
