In recent years, the ready-mixed concrete industry has notably increased its presence in the construction sector. This work seeks to analyze the feasibility and improvement of commercial ready-mixed concrete designs for the Hormi Center production facility. This is done by estimating two parameters, the slump measured by means of the Abrams cone slump test over a period of two hours at thirty-minute intervals, and the compressive strength determined at 7, 14 and 28 days of age. In order to achieve this, test mixtures are made with additives (a retarder and a plasticizer) from BASF, SIKA and PROTEX, using Holcim's HE cement and aggregates from the VIPESA and El Piedrero mines, on the basis of the existing designs from the company and redesigning with the principles established by means of the ACI 211.1 method and the Fuller Thompson method in order to obtain the proportions of the aggregates to be used in the mixture. With the obtained results with each house of additives used, the behavior of the concrete in fresh and hardened state is analyzed, coming to the conclusion that the concretes made with BASF additives, successfully meet with the physical-mechanical properties (slump and compressive strength) requested by the Hormi Center Company, slump loss in a period of two hours not greater than 8 cm and with compressive strengths higher than design strengths with more than 30% at 28 days of age, additionally, it shows the lowest production costs for each of the designs
