Item Territorios cohesionados a través del sistema del transporte público, Caso de estudio cantón Cuenca(Universidad de Cuenca, 2024-02-21) Bravo Paucar, Tatiana Priscila; Flores Juca, Gonzalo EnriqueTerritorial Cohesion is applied as a territorial development policy, to correct existing territorial imbalances. In Ecuador and at the cantonal level, the Constitution from 2008, indicates the existence of a monocentric model in the territories where the concentration of goods, services, infrastructure and mobility, presents an uncontrolled growth in the cantonal and parish capitals and a strong depopulation. in others. Transportation as a Cohesion factor plays an important role in reducing disparities in the canton and promoting economic and social cohesion. The methodological proposal allows to unite urban and rural areas of the city of Cuenca, through the use of transport indicators and the considerations of the cohesive territories. The results highlight the accessibility and connection with important points of the city with a project for the integration of public transport lines, which would solve the deficiency of this service on a large scale.
