(2019-09-11) Bravo Campoverde, Johnny Gabriel; López Molina, Diana
The house-museum Maria Astudillo Montesinos brings together a great historical and cultural value within the city of Cuenca, its style, its facade and the amount of furniture objects retrieved form it, makes it one of the favorite spaces to enjoy the architecture of early 20th century, it is important to note that old music sheets have been found there, which constitute a cultural bulwark for Cuenca and the universal musical repertoire, and therefore for tourism. The study establishes an analysis of cultural tourism from 1970 and how this has implications for the organization of evenings in the city, as well as the history of the house-museum and its relationship with society, in addition to its inventory in the year 2012. On the other hand, it discusses how difficult it is to link cultural and tourist companies for a thorough development of culture in the city and the long way to understand the importance that both local entities go hand in hand, and present a proposal for a touristic-cultural mediation through artistic-cultural evenings that provide the general public an approach to the musical history of composers and illustrious figures from the golden age of the house-museum and the musical tradition of the family Astudillo Montesinos , under a format of concerts in intimate spaces, the diagnosis of the current situation around the tourist management of the house-museum Maria Astudillo Montesinos, ending with the development of promotional strategies for artistic and cultural evenings and its socio-cultural impact that was obtained at first sight through the approach of a focus group and a pilot project.
