    La funcionalidad familiar como mecanismo para la prevención de delitos de violación a mujeres al interior de los hogares cuencanos

    This research deals with the theme "The family's functionality as a mechanism for the prevention of crimes of violation of women within the Cuenca household", with reference to the allegations of sexual offenses presented at the Azuay Provincial Prosecutor during the period from January 2013 to June 2013. The study was conducted in the Cuenca city in order to visualize the risk factors that reveal gender inequities present in the social fabric, institutions and / or agencies in the field of public safety and family relations, in order to know how the power and gender relations in the everyday life are. The development of this research with a gender perspective begins in the first instance with the analysis of reported sexual offenses that rest in the database of the Center of Strategic Studies of the Board of Public Safety, where highlights their own variables, the which ones allowing deepen during the development of this research in the pursuit of other social indicators. The content theoretical - conceptual mentioned in this research are based on the categories of Genre as social construction, with the use of the interview technique applied to important officials of the Judicial Council of Azuay, whose answers have been a great contribution to the realization of this research.
