This is a monographic work with a reflective empirical contribution. It presents the perspectives of traditional thoughts in the approach to sex education in early childhood, in order to achieve the objective of this research, which is to analyze the implications of traditional adult thoughts about sex education programs of kindergarten and first grade levels. This study was carried out with a documentary research approach and an exploratory-descriptive scope, to conceptualize in a theoretical way the two categories identified; on the one hand, traditional thoughts and, on the other hand, sexual education. In addition, semi-structured interviews were applied to a group of teachers and parents of children who attended kindergarten and first grade in the city of Cuenca and Gualaceo. For this reason, the relevance of children's sexuality in school and family education is highlighted as a key milestone for their development. Finally, it is highlighted that child sexuality continues to be a taboo subject in family groups, while in the teaching environment, traditionalism have a lesser impact.
