Item Evaluación del manejo del dolor en el postoperatorio inmediato en los pacientes intervenidos en el Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso de la ciudad de Cuenca y el Hospital Teófilo Dávila de la ciudad de Machala. enero - marzo 2014.(2014) Campoverde Terán, Raquel Alexandra; Carrillo Vintimilla, Bernarda María; Barzallo Sacoto, Raquel Alexandra; Vanegas Cobeña, Yolanda GuadalupeObjective: To evaluate the management of pain in the immediate post-surgery period, in patients operated in the Vicente Corral Moscoso Hospital (HVCM), Cuenca and Teofilo Dávila Hospital (HTD), Machala. January to March 2014. Methods and Materials: A descriptive study was conducted. It were monitored patients who experienced laparoscopic and open hysterectomy and cholecystectomy, and open herniogrhaphies and appendectomies, and it was valuated the pharmacological management and the pain control. Results: There were found 152 cases at HVCM and 121 at HTD, mostly in female patients in both hospitals. The majority of the studied patients in the HTD exceeded the 66Kg weight. The pain control through the EVA scale in HVCM at 2 hours is of 6.01 (SD 2.4), at 8 hours 3.9 (SD 2.3), at 16 hours 2.7 (DS 2,06) and at 24 hours 1,87 (DS 1,6). At HTD, at 2 hours 4.74 (DS 3,1), at 8 hours 2,9 (DS 2,3), at 16 hours 1,6 (DS 1,7) and at 24 hours 0,69 (DS 1,2). The most commonly used analgesics in the immediate post-surgery period in HVCM were Ketorolac (39.5%) and Tramadol (37.5%), and in the HTD was Tramadol (48%) and Ketorolac (48%). A longer surgery is associated with higher values on the scale of pain. Conclusions: The most commonly used pain relievers were Ketorolac and Tramadol, pain perception was lower as the time of post-surgery increased.
